Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, skilled, and motivated Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing inboard and outboard engines, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable marine service company in a dynamic and growing industry. PRIOR EXPERIENCE is a must have for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain gasoline and diesel-powered inboard and outboard marine engines.
  • Perform routine maintenance and seasonal servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to diagnose issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, fuel systems, steering, and cooling systems.
  • Conduct sea trials and operational tests as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed.
  • Communicate effectively with sales team and customers regarding diagnostics, repair timelines, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with inboard and outboard marine engines (Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Honda, Volvo Penta, MerCruiser, etc.).
  • Certifications from manufacturers (e.g., Yamaha, Mercury, ABYC) are preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Must have own tools and a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and techniques related to marine service.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
